Start an image upload from a URL

Upload an image from a URL you already host, without downloading and re-uploading it yourself. WeTravel fetches the image on your behalf and stores it in Filestack, our CDN for images and other media, then hands back an image reference.

The fetch happens in the background, so this endpoint answers 202 with a pending job and no image yet. Poll GET /images/jobs/{job_id} until the status is completed, then take the image object and reference it wherever you'd embed an image, such as a Library Entry or a Trip's itinerary content. It is already in the shape those endpoints expect ({ "provider": "filestack", "handle": "<handle>" }).

uri

Publicly reachable http(s) URL that Filestack will fetch the image from. The fetch happens in the background, so make sure the URL stays valid and accessible for at least 1 hour after you submit it — a link that expires or requires authentication before then will cause the upload to fail.
